Training Quality, not Quantity

Training Quality, not Quantity

May 17, 2020

I certainly have to plead guilty in trying to sneak out of shorter harder training exertions by replacing them with longer less intense sessions. Trading pain for time, on the face of it, seems like a fair trade but I’m afraid it’s an old conn trick and will leave you out of pocket. Everyone is different and training for different challenges and so clearly the focus of training will reflect the end goal; however, while concentrating on certain areas, your training should be a tailored mix of intervals and efforts. It was with some reluctance that I returned the short intense sessions back into my training plan but the results were felt instantly. While that voice in your head will give you some great excuses to avoid that tough session, Never Follow, ride hard and finish proud.
